Three ways to work with us.
Whether you are an institutional funder, a community volunteer, or a supporter who wants to give, there is a defined way in.
For funders & institutions
Partner
Unseen Minority is seeking institutional partners, including embassies, UN agencies, corporate CSR programmes, and implementing organisations, for its first pilot cycle. Each programme has a defined scope, named community partners, and an outcome framework designed for reporting from day one.
We approach due diligence as a shared interest, not an obstacle: our Constitution, Articles of Association, MOU framework, and pilot designs are available to prospective partners on request. We are registering under the NGO Act No. 16 of 2009, and we describe our status precisely at every stage.
Fund a pilot
Box of Hope (Ndeke Village, Kitwe), Imiti N'ashikula (30 participants), or Shifting the Focus (25 cases per cycle).
Co-implement
Bring an existing programme alongside ours through our operational MOU framework.
Provide technical support
M&E design, safeguarding review, financial systems, or legal capacity.
Host a dialogue
Convene youth, community structures, and institutions around a programme theme.
For community
Volunteer
Our pilots run through community structures: Box of Hope in Ndeke Village, Kitwe, and Imiti N’ashikula and Shifting the Focus through community bodies in Lusaka. Volunteers make that possible: preparing and delivering Box of Hope kits, mentoring Imiti N’ashikula participants, and supporting Shifting the Focus’ advocacy work.
All volunteer roles involving children or survivors are subject to safeguarding screening and training, with no exceptions. If you are a student, professional, or community member in Lusaka who wants to contribute time or skills, write to us with your area of interest.
For supporters
Give
Support our flagship pilot
Box of Hope, school essentials for children in Ndeke Village, Kitwe, is Unseen Minority’s first programme to launch, and the one way to give directly today. Gifts are processed through Sonka, our pilot partner, not directly by Unseen Minority.
DONATE TO BOX OF HOPEGiving directly to Unseen Minority
Beyond Box of Hope, Unseen Minority does not yet accept financial donations directly. We will open a formal giving mechanism once registration with the Ministry of Community Development is complete, so that every kwacha given is received by a legally accountable organisation. We believe supporters deserve that standard.
In-kind contributions toward Box of Hope, such as exercise books, pens and pencils, backpacks, and uniforms, can also be discussed directly with our team.
